L'Herretang

Peatlands of Herrétang extend over 65 acres west of the Massif de la Chartreuse, the communes of St Laurent du Pont and St Joseph of River.
Many plants live in this protected marsh area, which also hosts the Alpine newt.
A crush zone amphibians has been identified on the road 520, which will be equipped with 9 underpaths during the year 2010.
