The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

It aims at strengthening economic and social cohesion in the European Union by correcting imbalances between its regions. The region of Rhône-Alpes has strenghtened the thema of sustainable development. The project is part of the action "Actions of identification and evaluation of ecological corridors with a view to the establishment of a coherent regional network.

The part of the ERDF comes to 46%.

The region of Rhone Alpes

The policy of Rhône Alpes has 3 objectives:

  • Build a regional network of prtoected areas
  • Preserve the threatened flora and fauna of Rhône-Alpes
  • Be the leader in the networking of the actors and the transfer of knowledge

With this last goal, the Region has led a study to establish the regional ecological network. This study consists of an atlas identifying the biological corridors and the conflict points on a scale od 100.000th. To support the projects in the field of biodiversity and corridors, the Region has developped a financial tool: The corridors Agreement, from which the Department benefits.

The part of the Region comes to 12%.

 

 

 

 

 

The Rhone Mediterranean and Corsica Water Agency

In its 9th programm, the Water Agency pursues the good quality of the water by fighting against the pollution, encouraging a rational used of the water, protecting  the aquatic area...

In the continuation of the « Grenelle de l'environnement », the Agency is especially attached at the restoration of the natural course of the rivers. That's why the Water Agency participates financially at the creation of the fish pass and at the rehabilitation of a river's course up to 7%.

AREA

AREA is the compagny in charge of the motorways through an agreement with the State allowing it to run the motorways.

4th european motorway group, AREA has for mission to develop and operate the motorways network.

From the eraly beginning of the work of the Department, AREA was willing to participate in the project of restoration of the corridors. The compagny has indeed developed an environmental policy with for example the protection of the environment and the motorway's surroundings from the conception of the infrastructure to its exploitation.

In the cluse of Voreppe the implication of AREA has started all the process to unify the actors around the aim of establishing a biological corridor.

Its financial involvement comes to 14% including the creation of an overpass over the A48.

The embankment Association of Isère - Drac - Romanche

This association is in charge of the maintenance of the embankment of the rivers Isère, Drac and Romanche. Its territory includes 61 towns for which it is helped by 13 union associations. The association will lay out the surrounding area of the river Ièsre in the cluse of Voreppe and a the river Coisetan in the town of Pontcharra.
At the same time, the association works with the Symbhi. It will be in charge of the new buildings.
