This association created by the general council aims at protecting the valley against the rise of water level from the rivers Isère, Drac, and Romanche. This action is doubled with a concerted development of the natural areas surrounding the rivers including economic, environmental and leisure's issues.
This association is in charge of one project concerning all the valley from Grenoble to Pontcharra along the river Isère, which is the longitudinal corridor. It implies various works for the protection of the corridors.
The role of the Agency is to advise and help the towns in their policies and especially in the conception of their urban planning documents.
The Agency has led the study for the integration of the corridors in the development of the territory in the valley of Grésivaudan, which has established the last 5 corridors in the valley and an action plan to restore and protect them.
All along the 6 years the Agency will follow the progress of the project and bring its experience.
As to make the corridors durable, the main goal is to inscribe them in the urban planning documents of the communes.

The association is in charge of the definition and the implementation of the agricultural and land property's policy in the valley of Gresivaudan, which looks like a « Y » between the massifs of Chartreuse, Belledonne and Vercors.
The association pays attention to integrate the environmental quality in its policy for the agriculture and forest development.
This association is of public interest and has among its missions, the protection of the aquatic areas (management programs, studies on threatened species, monitoring of the area's quality...). In the project the association is in charge of the compulsory files for the legislation about the water.
The departmental department Onema (National organism for the monitoring of the water quality) is also an other actor in charge of the respect of the legislation about fishing and protection of the aquatic areas.
The association represents the hunters of the department to the partners and institutions. It is in charge too of the hunting management and of the enhancement of the hunting heritage and the protection of the wildlife.
Since the beginning the hunters have participated actively as experts, they know perfectly the movement of the fauna.

Botanical society in reference to Dominique Villars, the association promotes and develops the knowledge of the wildflora in Isère and to take part in the preservation of the natural vegetation heritage.
It has already worked on the subject of the reasonnable management with the commune of Jarry by writing a guide. That's why the association will pursue its action with the 23 towns concerned by the project in order to work with them to change their methodology regarding the management of their open spaces.
The French railway network is a public institution of a commercial nature. Owner and manager of the railway's infrastructures, RFF works on the development, the coherence and the enhancement of the national railway's network.
RFF has signed an agreement promising that it will take into account the issue of the corridors in its future project.
